Mad NEW MOON Panel At Comic-Con ’09

Holy crap… once again, the Twilight cast got all the fangirls in Hall H go hysterical. The screams went through all decibels, broke sound barriers, killed all eardrums. It was madness I tell ya.. Madness! I had some reactions from a Twilight mom and a couple of Twilight Tweens but I’ll post the video later this weekend.

One Q&A girl from the audience asked Taylor Lautner who plays the now buff Jacob, if he would take his shirt off and do a backflip right there on the spot.
One note… this time around, the screams were meant for Taylor, whereas last year the screams were mostly targeted at Robert Pattinson and Cam Gigandet.

The line outside before the panel started was super long, it should’ve been recorded on Guinness Book Records. Stephanie Meyer didn’t make an appearance, director Chris Weitz said the reason why Meyer’s story attracted to his job is that the book has layers of emotion, about people who get dumped, admitting he was one of them.

They showed 2 new clips. One involving Bella learning how to ride a motorcycle, Jacob was teaching her. But Bella couldn’t focus because she kept seeing Edward’s ghost and so she crashed into a big rock that for some reason was just there on the side of the road. Jacob ran to save her and did what any guy would do when his girl is hurt. He took off his shirt to expose his six-pack abs and wipe Bella’s blood away with it.

I’ve never read the book so I don’t quite understand what’s going on in the second clip. It was set in Italy. Alice dropped Bella off, who then ran all over the small town to find Edward. And then what we saw was Edward slo-mo walking out of a building about to step into the sunlight. Bella saw it and yelled for him to stop.

For the record, actress Ashley Greene who plays Alice was smokin’ H-O-to the T! She reminded of a younger Teri Hatcher.
