We know that it was previously announced that Keira Knightley is ready to play Eliza Doolittle, a character made iconic by the late great Audrey Hepburn in the story about a misogynistic and snobbish phonetics professor who agrees to a wager that he can take a flower girl and make her presentable in high society but the report now says there’s still no definite agreement that Knightley will be involved at all. But now it says that this remake will be more based on the Alan Jay Lerner‘s book and the original play it is based on PYGMALION by George Bernard instead of the 1964 classic film.
This might be a good thing, I’ve been seeing this treatment happen often lately, The Coen Bros. is remaking True Grit that will be more faithful to the book than the John Wayne version.
