Mandalay Buys FIRELIGHT

According to Variety, Mandalay Pictures has bought the screen rights to the newly published young adult supernatural novel, the first in a 3-book series, by bestselling author Sophie Jordan. The project will be produced by Peter Guber and Cathy Schulman, while Adam Stone will oversee and also help produce.
It’s about “twin teenage sisters, the descendants of dragons who live in secret with their endangered pride. When their mother learns that the pride has a dark plan for one of the girls who possesses the rare talent of fire breathing, she spirits the twins away to live a normal life among humans.”
