McCarthy – Falcone Developing MICHELLE DARNELL, COUSIN IRV FROM MARS, And JUST DO IT

I think it’s sweet that Oscar nominee, Melissa McCarthy includes her husband, Ben Falcone, in her movies. A couple who stars together, stays together I suppose.
Hollywood Reporter said that McCarthy and Falcone, who are business partners with their shingle, ON THE DAY, are developing three projects..

One of them is, MICHELLE DARNELL, housed at Universal, based on an original character created by McCarthy and on a story hatched by the duo who both will write the script with their friend Steve Mallory. Plot is kept under wraps for now.

The other project is called COUSIN IRV FROM MARS, also housed at Universal, based on Bruce Eric Kaplan’s illustrated book.
Kaplan himself will pen the script of this story about a boy and his weird cousin who happens to be from Mars.

Third but not least, McCarthy’s shingle will adapt Douglas Brown’s memoir/sex-help book, JUST DO IT: HOW ONE COUPLE TURNED OFF THE TV AND TURNED ON THEIR SEX LIVES FOR 101 DAYS (NO EXCUSES!)
They will produce the adaptation with michael Aguilard
The story is about Douglas and his wife trying to rekindle their 14 year marriage with a 101-day sexual marathon. Wow! That must be exhausting.
JUST DO IT will be housed at 20th Century Fox.
