McG Is Making TERMINATOR 5 And 6? God Help Us All

Denial is not just a river in Egypt. That’s the stupid joke people used to say to talk some sense into a person who’s too stubborn to accept the painful truth. Gizmodo blogged the Blu-Ray Terminator Salvation live commentary and found out that director McG thinks he’s making TERMINATOR 5 and also TERMINATOR 6. I kid you not. But the fact of the matter is Halcyon is still trying to find potential buyers who for some reason still think there’s still some pulse left in TERMINATOR franchise…

He just announced that he’s making another Terminator movie. Seriously.
He said he’s making one after that.
And now McG is being coy about making another one?
And now he’s talking about a second or third movie again

Halcyon is expecting the auction of the franchise to conclude by February 1st, they’re hoping by then, some studio would be crazy enough to bite the bait, let’s hope to God whichever buys this franchise knows what it’s getting themselves into.
So it sounds like McG in that commentary only thinks that he’s going to be in charge of making the next TERMINATOR movies. Somebody should talks some sense into him and remind him how weak Terminator Salvation was and that after $200 budget, it only banked $125.3 Million domestically. The people have spoken, he’s not the right man for the job and that hardly anybody cares about the franchise anymore, not even if they brought back Robert Patrick, or made John Connor’s children’s roles more significant in the sequel or had the human resistance go back in time or some other jacked up scenario.
