Platinum Dunes which has been re-making horror movies in recent years, is going to try and mess with the new live action TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Movie…

Deadline said both Paramount and Nickelodeon have asked Platinum Dunes boys Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Anderw Form to help oversee and produce the project which a reboot of the old 90s New Line movies we grew up watching.
Those Dunes boys will have meetings with writers in the coming weeks.
We previously saw the possible,.. I repeat the possible design for how the turtles are going to look like this time around..

Back in October, in a deal that cost $60 Million, Nickelodeon, a division of Viacom, acquired the global rights to the property from the Mirage Group and 4Kids Entertainment and that includes… all merchandising rights to the Turtles, and continue working with Playmates Toys.
Part of the plan is to develop a new TMNT CG-animated TV series scheduled to premiere in 2012, which is the year that the new movie is expected to his theaters everywhere.

Nickelodeon’s sister company Paramount will house the new TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES movie, set to open in 2012 produced by Scott Mednick (300)
We previously heard that cribe John Fusco (Young Guns, Hidalgo, The Forbidden Kingdom) is in charge of the screenplay but now that that those Dunes boys are involved.. who knows what changes they’ll implement,..we can only hope they won’t screw this up for the rest of us.
