Hollywood Reporter said Oscar nominated filmmaker of Leaving Las Vegas, Mike Figgis will direct SECONDS OF PLEASURE adapted by Neil LaBute from his book of short stories published under the same title.
Myriad Pictures bought the worldwide rights ouside the U.K. for the film starring Matt Dillon, Julia Stiles, Brendan Fraser, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Hendrix.
No plot details yet but the film is said to weave together several separate but intertwined stories about six different couples.

Via comingsoon, Myriad Pictures also signed with Asia Digital Entertainment to distribute A COMMON MAN, starring Ben Kingsley and Ben Cross.
Scripted and directed by Chandran Rutnam, the following is the film’s plot synopsis..

In A Common Man, which is set in Colombo, Sri Lanka, a mysterious man (Kingsley) has planted 5 bombs in the politically-scarred city that are set to explode unless four major terrorists are immediately released from prison. When he calls in his demands to the Deputy Inspector General of the Colombo Police Department (Cross), it sets in motion an ideological and deadly confrontation between the truth and duty.
