When you wish upon a star.. let’s go hang out at a bar.. o wait, that did rhyme but I doubt that’s how the song goes. Before I head down to the gym and turn myself into an Indonesia Beast, let me just share you some of these new Disney/Pixar-related info courtesy of Boxofficemojo, Heat Vision, Slashfilm, and bleedingcool. Ready? Then take this leap of faith..

MONSTERS INC. 2 was previously scheduled to hit theaters on November 16th, 2012 but now it’s been set to open a bit earlier, on November 2nd. Hey, that’s cool with me

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST which has been pushed back before, sadly will again not be able to arrive on Valentine’s Day season of 2011 as expected. Because now it’s been pushed back indefinitely. The report states to “2012 or later”
The studio’s reason is to give time for consumers to buy into the home 3D transition. It’s gonna take more than Avatar and Beauty and The Beast to get me to buy 3D TV.
But as consolation, Disney will release a special DVD issue of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in October, in 2D.

Last but not least, BlueSkyDisney has this info regarding KING OF THE ELVES, a Walt Disney Pictures project based on Philip K.Dick short story about “about a band of elves and one dwarf living in the modern-day Mississippi Delta who name a local human their king after he helps save them from an evil troll”

Lasseter decided to stop development on [King of the Elves] until they had a better take on the project. Well, now they have that better take, and the version that will be going forward is much different thanks to [Bolt director] Chris Williams’ new direction on the project. That’s right, Williams is the new director of KOTE, and it is moving forward in development. While it hasn’t received approval to go into production, Williams is one of John’s “first finds” at WDAS and he likes what he sees in the young animator/director. Since he came aboard, the story flow has become much smoother than the previous try.
