This past week, Variety reported that Warner Bros. has bought most of Midway Games’ assets in a bankruptcy court fire sale for $33 million, including the rights to some of their most popular video games like MORAL KOMBAT, SPY HUNTER, and JOUST. WB’s plans for those properties are kept secret for now but they didn’t buy Midway development studios in San Diego and England.

Long before the despicable Hitman and the disappointing Max Payne hit theaters, the first 2 Mortal Kombat movies made history by being the worst video game movies ever made.
