I’m currently packin’, I’m drivin’ up to San Francisco this weekend, to run the city’s Marathon on Sunday, so I apologize that I won’t be able to post individual headline for the time being..but let’s go through some movie roundup, shall we..
- Check out the image above, it’s Bat signal yo! Via movieviral, It’s displayed on a building in Pittsburgh where Christopher Nolan and his team are filming THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.
- Deadline said Sony will release director Kathryn Bigelow‘s next movie about SEAL team 6 hunting down Osama Bin Laden, on October 12th, 2012
- Paramount Vantage will release the Duplass Bros‘ new film, JEFF WHO LIVES AT HOME, on March 2nd, 2012. The film, starring Jason Segel and Ed Helms, will first make its way to the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival
- The very cute Alia Shawkat (TV’s Arrested Development) has joined 2 projects: Fox Searchlight’s HE LOVES ME co-starring Paul Dano and Annette Bening.. The other project is THE BRASS TEAPOT co-starring Juno Temple and Michael Angarano.
- Deadline said Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver (Animal Kingdom) has joined Chan-Wook Park‘s thriller, which marks the Old Boy filmmaker’s first English language feature, STOKER starring Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska, and Matthew Goode
- And ON THE SEVENTH DAY, actors Blair Underwood, Pam Grier and Nicole Beharie have joined the Neema Barnette-directed indie kidnap thriller which is said to be a sequel to 2004′s Woman Thou Art Loosed, which I’ve never seen, by the way.
- David Oyelowo (RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES) was supposed to play MLK Jr. in Lee Daniels‘ SELMA but since that particular project came to a stop, Daniels is now working on THE PAPERBOY adaptation and Deadline reported that Oyelowo has joined the cast that includes Matthew McConaughey and John Cusack.
- Deadline said Lee Pace (A Single Man, Marmaduke) has joined the huge cast of Steven Spielberg‘s Abraham Lincoln biopic, LINCOLN starring Daniel Day-Lewis as the 16th President. Pace will play New York City mayor Fernando Wood who supported the Confederate cause.
- Robert Patrick (Terminator: Judgment Day) is going to replace Bryan Cranston in WB’s crime thriller THE GANGSTER SQUAD. That’s fine with me because I think both Cranston and Patrick are badass.
- Funnyman Hunter Cope and Sarah Hyland (TV’s Modern Family) will star alongside Nicholas Braun in Lionsgate’s comedy GAY DUDE about 2 friends who make a pact to lose their virginity before high school prom but things get complicated when one of them comes out of the closet.
- Via movieviral, what do you think about this fan-made THE AVENGERS poster which combines all of Marvel’s previous concept art for the film?
