My Day At THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER!

A couple of days I was in Orlando, Florida and I visited Universal Orlando to check out THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER. The place was super cool! I kid you not, it felt like you were in a Harry Potter movie. The looks and the props all reminded me of the franchise that’s been good to us this past decade….

The theme park is located inside Island Adventure and so the whole deal was not cheap, make sure you bring lots of cash so you could fully enjoy the experience. The ticket itself is about $82 and then inside, after buying Butterbeer and purchasing some memorable stuff at the gift shop, you’d be spending about $200 more. So yeah, my bank account was suffering that day but it was worth it. By the way, I’m not sure what butterbeer is exactly made of, but I can tell you this much, it wasn’t real beer and it tasted just like rootbeer float, possibly the best tasting rootbeer float I’ve ever had.

I loved how they put so much effort into making all the surrounding and the environment to resemble what they look like in the movies. The train was there, the car was there.
Now, keep in mind that I’ve never read any of J.K. Rowling’s books but I am a big fan of the adaptations so I may not know much about the jargons or every little detail of Harry Potter world but what I saw a couple of days ago astonished me, I was nothing short of impressed. The dragon challenge rollercoaster was insane, it was if you were going to hit the other coaster while the coaster you were on was headed on one direction in high speed. What’s awesome about that rollercoaster was that just at the right second that it took you feeling to the left, it suddenly turned right and took you for an unsuspected loop.

They had performers there, teens singing upbeat Harry Potter-related songs and what’s funny in my opinion is that almost all the workers speak British accent, I don’t know if that’s part of their job requirements or job description or perhaps Universal does hire Brit workers for that specific theme park but it was definitely amusing.
Now I got to bring my HD flip camera with me and so I videoblogged some of the experience to show to you just so you could get an idea of how much fun I had there. I didn’t edit any of these so I apologize for some of the Cloverfield-esque hand held shakiness.. but uh.. enjoy! BTW, I dedicated all these photos and videos to HP friends who live in Cali..

A lot of Harry Potter fans at that place and this is just one of them
