Nicolas Cage To Play Gangster Villain In GREEN HORNET

Earlier today, Seth Rogen said THE GREEN HORNET is still alive no matter what the haters may say, I’m one of those haters by the way. It may not have its KATO yet but it has a hottie and a villain. According to Variety, Nicolas Cage is in talks to play the gangster villain in THE GREEN HORNET.
Ok, let’s stop there for a moment, what kind of gangster do you think Cage will be? If it’s anything like his pretty cool bad guy performance in the beginning parts of Face/Off, then you count me in.
It’s Rogen and his writing partner Evan Goldberg (Pineapple Express) who penned the script, so we’ll see if the amount of comedy equals the action. The movie will be directed by Michel Gondry
EW previously announced and now it’s confirmed that Cameron Diaz is going to play the female lead. Her character is a reporter and a love interest. Uh.. another version of Lois Lane, anybody?
Rogen kissing Diaz would be twice more awkward to watch than Rogen banging Banks in Zack and Miri.
Lucky curly-haired bastard!
Let’s take a look at Nicolas Cage‘s resume for the past few years, shall we.. Ghost Rider, Next, National Treasure 2, Bangkok Dangerous, the upcoming Kick-Ass, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and G-Force. Clearly, the man with a thousand toupes is just doing it for the paycheck. He’s even talking about Ghost Rider 2. The last time he actually gave some serious acting effort was World Trade Center but he doesn’t give a flying sh*t. Damn Cage is laughing all the way to the bank.
