Ok, so what’s the development on WB’s $90 Million live action AKIRA movie? quick recap shall we.. Garrett Hedlund will play the lead role of the bike leader Kaneda. Helena Bonham Carter and Keira Knightley were said to have been approached for a currently undisclosed roles
And WB wants Gary Oldman to play the colonel.
Twilight and SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN star Kristen Stewart reportedly has been offered the female lead role of KEI, who is Kaneda’s love interest
Ezra Miller (We Need To Talk About Kevin) and Alden Eherenreich (Tetro) may be competing for the role of Tetsuo. But Miller told moviefone that he’s not gunning for the role…
“It’s not true. That, I can assure you, will not be a reality. It’s a beautiful Japanese epic and I think it’ll be a very entertaining, fun film, but no, it’s not my next move.”
