One Of These Ladies Will Get To Be Tom Cruise’s Co-Star In Kosinski’s HORIZONS

The next project to be directed by Tron: Legacy helmer, Joseph Kosinski, is OBLIVION,.. wait.. that is wrong because Variety said Universal has decided to go with HORIZONS instead.
Starring Tom Cruise and a female lead.. There are 5 actresses currently competing for that female lead role and the names are Jessica Chastain (The Tree Of Life), Olivia Wilde (Cowboys & Aliens), Brit Marling (Another Earth), Noomi Rapace (SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS) and Olga Kurylenko (Quantum Of Solace), they will all audition for the role this coming Saturday. My vote goes to Chastain.. after watching her fantastic performance in The Help, she can do no wrong in my book..

Starring Tom Cruise, this $100 million sci-fi flick will start filming in October. HORIZONS (opens July 19th, 2013) will be directed by Joseph Kosinski. You even got to read the first chapter of Levine’s graphic novel online. Oscar winning scribe William Monahan (The Departed) penned the screenplay. Karl Gajdusek rewrote the script.

In a future where the Earth’s surface has been irradiated beyond recognition, the remnants of humanity live above the clouds, safe from the brutal alien Scavengers that stalk the ruins. But when surface drone repairman Jak discovers a mysterious woman in a crash-landed pod, it sets off an unstoppable chain of events that will force him to question everything he knows.

Based on OBLIVION, the 128-page illustrated novel, will be released in Summer 2011 and will feature prose, combined with over 40 fully painted landscape renderings. OBLIVION will be distributed worldwide through Random House.
