This usually falls under everything that gossip magazines would cover. I’d rather focus on movie info, who’s going to get which part, what movie will we see next and all that good stuff. But this is just too juicy to resist, and it’s weekend so let’s chill a bit, shall we?! Those die hard fans of Megan Fox (why would anyone be her fan besides for her look and body?) would know that Fox talks trash all the time whenever she gets any press time. And at one point, she kinda compared Michael Bay‘s method like that of Napoleon and Hitler‘s. If you ask me, what the hell does that airhead talentless brain of hers know about history anyway, right?! Long story short, the other night some of the loyal crew members of Michael Bay, responded to Fox’s loud mouth comment. The open letter has been pulled from the web today but DeadlineHollywood still has it, God bless that website.
So without further adue, after this jump… are excerpts from the Crews’ statement bluntly calling Fox a b*tch and they said some more hardcore details. They didn’t wanna mention their names in fear of getting banned from any future Paramount work. I don’t blame them, it’s a tough town and if you’re just somebody who fixes Megan Fox‘s costume instead of Megan Fox herself, you pretty much can’t get away with everything you say. Read the rest OVER THERE but read the excerpts here after this jump… Continue reading

If you hadn’t noticed, there’s a franchise that’s growing slowly but surely, it’s not Pirates or Superheroes.. it’s love. That’s right, amor, cinta, however you wanna call it from where you come from because location is very important to the success of this franchise. From Paris Je t’Aime to New York, I Love You which opens this year on October 16th, 2009 (check out the trailer)
Producer Emmanuel Benbihy confirmed, via Hollywood Reporter, that their next stop is the holy land with JERUSALEM, I LOVE YOU. And I thought it was a conflict city.
But JERUSALEM, I LOVE YOU will have to wait for 2 more cities that are already in the bag. RIO, I LOVE YOU starts shooting in Spring 2010, opens early 2011 and SHANGHAI, I LOVE YOU starts filming in fall 2010, opens late 2011 and then JERUSALEM will get its chance in Spring 2011 for a release in early 2012. Everything has been mapped out.
And just like all of its predecessors, JERUSALEM, I LOVE YOU will also be about short segments from well-known directors featuring well known actors about love in that city, connected by a cohesive narrative.
Check out what this producer said about why they chose these particular cities
Paris is nicknamed the City of Love
New York is the city of romantic comedies.
Rio is the city of sensual love.
Shanghai is the city of exotic love
Here’s their plan so far with JERUSALEM, I LOVE YOU… hiring three Israeli directors, three American directors and four more directors from other countries. Diversity is the key when it comes to this franchise so the stories will cover all the different religions and national aspirations, a representative of Jews, Christians, Muslims, Ethiopians, real human stories of everyone living there. But they’re going to seek financing first before contacting filmmakers and actors for the job.

Previously we were told that SPIDER-MAN 4 would start filming in February 2010 but Access Hollywood chatted with Evil Dead star, Sam Raimi‘s best friend, Bruce Campbell (TV’s Burn Notice) and learned that production may start as early as January.
If you’ve seen all three Spider-Man movies, there’s no way you could’ve missed Campbell’s memorable cameos, more essential to Peter Parker’s development as your friendly neighborhood hero than what usual cameos provide, even Stan Lee‘s cameo didn’t give as much impact as Campbell’s 3 little roles (the ring announcer, the usher, and the guy at the restaurant), which brings us to the next big info
Campbell also said that he’s been offered a bigger role in SPIDER-MAN 4 but he has yet to know what that major character is. And fans speculate Campbell might be playing Mysterio which is ranked by IGN as the 85th greatest comic book villains of all time
To get a better picture of how deadly he can be to SPIDER-MAN, Mysterio’s “costume contained boots with chemical smoke ejectors to produce a concealing mist, magnetic plate springs allowing him to leap heights, an acid spray in his gloves, enabling him to dissolve Spider-Man’s webbing, and a one-way helmet with a built-in sonar device that jammed Spider-Man’s spider-sense and allowed Mysterio to see through his mist.” You can read the rest and Mysterio’s background over at Marvel.
But I doubt Campbell gets to play this villain because I think the audiences expect him to be just another comic relief.
As of today, there hasn’t been any official announcement on who the villain’s going to be. Some even said morbius. But either Morbius or Mysterio, Raimi would rather use a caliber actor (Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Thomas Haden Church) or teen’s heartthrob (James Franco, Topher Grace) to play the villain than his B-list friend Bruce Campbell.

Almost everything about this movie is cold and I’m not talking about the natural element. I’ve never read the graphic novel that this movie’s based on but WHITEOUT is the epitome of predictability. I don’t know what’s more sad, the fact that it’s… Continue reading

The vibrant video above is Andy Samberg acting like he knows all there is to know about animation. He’s on one of his delusional trips again, ala Johnny Drama from Entourage, thinking motion capture suit worked wonder on how CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS was made.

WOLVERINE Sequel is happening with Japan as the location, based on Chris Claremont and Frank Miller’s story which will feature Wolverine dealing with ninjas as he struggles whether to follow his animal killer instincts or the life under a samurai’s code of honor and respect, it’s Hugh Jackman‘s favorite Wolverine saga.
The question is,.. will Gavin Hood, the director of X-Men Origins: Wolverine return for this sequel? X-Men Origins: Wolverine went down as one of the most hugely disappointing movies this year. Last year, summer 2008 opened on a high note with The Forbidden Kingdom and Iron Man, this year, X-Men Origins: Wolverine opened the curtains with shame thanks to the weak plot, weak direction and most of all, the weak VFX
Latinoreview chatted with Hood in anticipation of X-Men Origins: Wolverine on DVD and Blu-Ray and Hood say as of today, he doesn’t know yet if he’s going to direct WOLVERINE 2…
I don’t even know if I would be involved. Right now I’m not attached. Nobody’s attached. They’re developing a script and we’ll see where everybody is. I’m hoping to be shooting something next year and I don’t think that ‘Wolverine’ will be ready for next year. I haven’t been approached one way or another. The studio is obviously very cautious. They want to see how Wolverine does on DVD. Let them develop the script, let’s see what the script looks like, let’s see how the studio feels about the script, how Hugh feels about it and then we’ll take it from there.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine wasmade with a budget of $150 Million, earning only $175 Million. But I think the Blu-Ray sales would do well because of the new feature called Blu-ray live which allows users to “pull up a menu at any time during viewing and take a look at the filmographies and upcoming project information of all the actors on screen.”
Bryan Singer has always wanted to return to X-Men Universe, maybe he couldn’t direct X-Men: First Class, he should try and helm WOLVERINE 2 but I don’t know if that could be a reality since Singer will be busy with BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and EXCALIBUR… besides, WOLVERINE 2 is already scheduled to open in 2011
Gavin Hood just doesn’t know WOLVERINE,.. he thought he did but obviously from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, he didn’t do enough research.
The Usual Suspect scribe Christopher McQuarrie has been hired to write the script for WOLVERINE 2
X-Men Origins: Wolverine hits DVD and Blu-ray on September 15th in a single disc DVD, double-disc special edition DVD, 2-disc Blu-ray special edition.

Here it is guys! Yahoo has the new image from A CHRISTMAS CAROL, a performance capture 3D re-imagining of Charles Dickens’ classic by director Robert Zemeckis. It’s Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge and Gary Oldman as Marley the ghost. The new trailer will also hit the web on Yahoomovies this Sunday morning, 9/13/09. I hate waking up early on a weekend, but I’d do it for this because it’s been a long wait… all this time all we had was that Italian version.
Comingsoon.net had seen this trailer at the D23 Expo and here is the description..
Expanding from the footage that is currently touring the country on the film’s train exhibit, this trailer gave a glimpse at both the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Future, both played by Jim Carrey (who has eight different characters in the film, including the alternate versions of Scrooge).
The Ghost of Christmas Present appears as a huge, viking-like being with an enormous beard. He’s gigantic and talks down to a tiny Ebenezer Scrooge, who only seems to come up to his ankle.
The Ghost of Christmas Future is only glimpsed at, but is completely draped in a hooded robe with its face completely obscured (very similar to Neil Gaiman’s Destiny in the “Sandman” series).
The trailer also features a segment of the film that seems to have Scrooge in a snowy London street, but shrunk down to inches in height with a squeaky, high-pitched voice.

Plenty of D23 Expo info hit the web today so I thought let’s just put these two puppies in one post. Speaking of puppies, it’s been known for a while now that Tim Burton wants to bring back FRANKENWEENIE, it was his live action short film back in 1984 starring Shelley Duvall and Daniel Stern. And the world also knows that Burton wants to bring it back in a certain way.. a stop-motion way plus 3D. So Burton showed up at the event today to confirm this project and it will be released in 2011
Earlier this year, scribe John August (Big Fish) said he’s writing the script for this Burton full length feature about a mad scientist kid who brings his dog back to life after it is killed by a car.
By the way, thank God for Comingsoon.net for being at the D23 Expo and covering all this so that other movie bloggers out there can share the info with their readers. Keep up the good work guys!
Next up, it’s pretty simple and straightforward. Remember that info about Robert Zemeckis developing a remake of YELLOW SUBMARINE in performance capture 3D technology? Well Disney basically just confirmed the project and also revealed the logo, which unfortunately is not yet available online.
Press release after the jump… Continue reading
