Where would Paul Walker be without Fast And Furious franchise?! Seriously, because if there’s one person who needs to be thankful that that franchise still keeps birthing sequels and offers constant employment to its actors, it’s Walker!..
Deadline said Walker is in talks to star in BRICK MANSIONS which is an Americanized remake of French thriller, BANLIEUE 13 (a.k.a DISTRICT B13) directed by Pierre Morel (Taken)
Luc Besson, who co-wrote the original, has scripted the remake and the site reported that Walker will star with actor/stuntman David Belle who was part of the French version and its sequel District 13: Ultimatum.
The film is famous for the characters leaping and climbing around obstacles, a sport that Belle is an expert at
The remake would probably be set in Chicago. Here’s the current plot..
Walker will play an undercover detective chasing a weapon of mass destruction that was stolen by a drug dealer in the ghetto known as Brick Mansions. He seeks help from the incredibly agile Lino (Belle), who knows Brick Mansions better than anyone and is the only person not cowering in fear of the drug dealers.
And then we’ll get to see Belle jumping and leaping around all over town, running from explosions, the whole nine yards.
What’s interesting is that Besson insisted that he would not be involved with this remake unless Belle was in it, and so he’s got his wish granted
