PIRANHA 3D Footage Was F*ing Insane!

When Comic-Con ’10 decided to ban PIRANHA 3D footage from being shown in Hall H, I thought Comic-Con was being too uptight. But then last night I was one of the press members who got to see the footage at a theater nearby and I kid you not, the 10 minute footage was outrageous. I’m gonna try to describe what I saw but big SPOILER ALERT here ok!..
Director Alexandre Aja and the cast were there, Jerry O’Connell, Paul Scheer, Elizabeth Shue, Kelly Brook, Eli Roth among many others. By the way, Kelly looked like a goddess, a true sex symbol. Next scene shows scuba divers going in to, trying to find out what the hell’s going on and they find what they think are fish eggs but it’s actually the Piranhas layer which becomes his funeral.
One of the scenes involved Shue and Ving Rhames, who didn’t attend the panel, they both play Sheriffs at Lake Victoria, they’re investigating an abandoned boat nearby at night. Shue’s character accidentally falls into the lake and a dead body surfaces.
The next scene shows the Spring Break party, keep in mind that PIRANHA 3D is meant to be a guilty pleasure mindless R-rated movie. So there’s lots of hot female boobs, asses, wet T-shirt contest celebrated especially by Roth’s character. Ving the sheriff shoots one up in the air and tells everyone that it’s a state of emergency but they ignore them and keep partying on. And this is where things get insane.
Piranhas came to join the party and they start biting everybody, I’m talkin’ about bloody massacre,.. penis gets bit off, body gets decapitated, mutilated, shock value around every corner. Turns out those sons of bitches are just baby piranhas, later on the footage shows Adam Scott’s character attacked by the parent piranha.
By the way, hotties Kelly Brook and Riley Steele have an underwater make out session.. naked!
Adam told the attendees that this movie is definitely going to make you horny, while Roth described it as “horror gore-gasm!” The design for the piranhas was based on research of piranhas we know today and pre-historic piranhas, they just made it bigger and meaner. Aja and Roth explained the 3D process and compared it to the shoddy last minute job by The Last Airbender. The time that was put into working the 3D FX for PIRANHA 3D was significantly longer so they promised it to jump out of the screen. And you know what, they weren’t kidding. that 10 minute footage I saw did give an impressive 3D experience.

I saw the clip as well — indeed it was insane. If that is what the whole movie is like, it’s going to be basically unwatchable. My stomach was absolutely turning. I mean — they lingered on that girl whose hair was caught in the propeller waaaaaaay too long.
I see your point..
it can get a bit too much to handle, so to speak.. but I spoke to the cast and they said it’s not something that’s going to happen in the first parts of the movie and the rest goes downhill from there on.. nope, in fact..
the entire movie will be filled with shocking scenes like that.. consistently and yes.. some would take way too long just to add more to the shock value
It’s not for the faint of heart, most definitely.
Hated they showed the damn scene with the parent piranhas. It spoiled the ending. Boo!!!
