PRIDE & PREJUDICE & ZOMBIES Movie

It’s one thing for a classic movie to be reboot, and it’s another when a classic novel is getting a re-imagining. According to Heraldsun, Jane Austin’s timeless novel PRIDE & PREJUDICE is going to get visited by the walking undead.

TV comedy writer Seth Grahame-Smith came up with a concept that’s gonna knock your socks off if you’re an avid reader.
Basically the iconic character, strong independent woman Elizabeth Bennett and her sisters are going to pull a Buffy. They go around slaying zombies and Mr. Darcy teaches them how to fight like Ninjas. It’s titled PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES
I kid you not, the first reaction when I read this info was to laugh but then I stopped and thought, ‘Wow, this is awesome… this should’ve been the book I read back in High school!’

Grahame Smith was able to do this story because Austen’s original tale because it is out of copyright. The parody however won’t be published and hit the shelves but Hollywood studios already bidding to turn the new book into a blockbuster movie. This is his reasoning…

“Why else in the original should a regiment arrive on Lizzie Bennet’s doorstep when they should have been off fighting Napoleon?

“It was to protect the family from an invasion of brain-eaters, obviously.”
