UPDATE! Quentin Tarantino To Direct THE SHADOW?

UPDATE!: The Quentin Tarantino Archives reported that this rumor about Quentin Tarantino taking on THE SHADOW remake is False! By the way, check out that great website for everything Tarantino..

Back in spring, Latinoreview today said that the project is no longer with Sony Pictures, it is now housed at Fox. The directing job might go to David Slade, the dude who brought us Hard Candy, 30 Days Of Night and Twilight Saga: ECLIPSE but Sam Raimi who was attached to the project for the longest time, will still be involved as a producer. But Pajiba heard a rumor,… that’s right, consider this a rumor for now that it’s not Slade but.. Quentin Tarantino might be the one attached to direct THE SHADOW and he might also be co-writer.
As a fan of Tarantino’s, I’m all for this idea but this is not likely to happen, at the same time I’d like to be proven wrong. Fact is, just like GDT, Tarantino has a gazillion projects that he wants to do, the guy talks about this prequel, that sequel, this project and that project, I just want him to start prepping for his masterpiece already. THE SHADOW has been on the big screen before in the 1994 adaptation starring Alec Baldwin, obviously Tarantino would do better than that.
