Rachel McAdams As Black Cat In SPIDER-MAN 4?

Let’s make some time for some rumor shall we?! Mania is quite confident in their source reporting Rachel McAdams (The Notebooks, Sherlock Holmes) having met with the producers of SPIDER-MAN 4 about the possibility of playing Felicia Hardy a.k.a The Black Cat. Those of you who may not read comics, she is not to be confused with catwoman. The Black Cat is a skilled cat burglar who is an occasional crime fighter and adventurer and is also heavily romantically obsessed with Spider-Man. Do you think McAdams is the perfect woman for the job?…

The website went on to say that the Black Cat’s story fits well with Raimi’s formula for the fourth installment and they are still in the middle of casting a male villain although it seems like the direction is heading toward The Lizard as it has been rumored for quite some time.
I’m cool with having McAdams as an addition to the team. This is probably the best thing that will ever happen to Peter Parker, since we all know Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane just doesn’t sit well with the fans.
SPIDER-MAN 4 will start production in March 2010. The movie will be released by Sony on May 6th, 2011
