Ray Liotta Returns To MUPPETS World For THE MUPPETS Sequel

Ray Liotta was one of the familiar faces in 1999′s MUPPETS FROM SPACE, a movie that many didn’t like, but I thought it was still quite a lot of fun.
And now, Liotta has decided to come back. Variety said Liotta has joined the cast of Disney’s THE MUPPETS untitled sequel, which will once again be directed by James Bobin who co-wrote the script with Nicholas Stoller. And this time, Jason Segel won’t be involved.
Starring Tina Fey, Ty Burrell, and Ricky Gervais.
The sequel is described as European-centric adventure which makes Gervais’ involvement reasonable. Burrell plays a lazy Interpol inspector, Gervais is said to play the lead, much like Segel was in the first movie, but the nature of his role is not yet disclosed at this point.
Gervais actually made a cameo in the first film but his scene got cut in the editing room
Fey plays a Russian gulag prison guard.
Liotta’s role is not yet revealed.
