Back in June of 2012, it was reported that Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive) was in talks with DreamWorks to helm the adaptation of England 2000 A.D. anthology graphic novel series, BUTTON MAN: THE KILLING GAME by John Wagner (Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog) and Arthur Ranson
Now, Deadline said Matt Cook will write the adaptation, previous draft by Hilary Seitz and Barry Levy…
Harry Exton was a hired gun, a soldier of fortune, before he was offered the chance to earn even more money by taking part in The Game. Bored millionaires each hire a Button Man and set these trained killers against each other in a fight to the death. Vast sums of money are bet between them as to who will win each contest. But when Harry decides to quit the game, he finds the only way out is death. Trouble is, nobody bothered to tell Harry exactly whose death they meant…
