Reshoots For JONAH HEX

Real quick now, via Collider, the adaptation JONAH HEX is scheduled to open next summer and yet spoilerTV has indicated that the movie still needs to do some reshooting which will take place from Jan. 18 to Feb. 1, 2010 and they are casting for the new scenes right now. Reshoots usually serve ground for concerns, in cases like this, studios are usually pissed off because it means they’re going to have to invest more money into the project but let’s see if this translates into a more awesome JONAH HEX than what was initially anticipated. The casting call breakdown is after the jump, those of you who’ve read the graphic novel are probably more familiar with some of the characters in the story…

[CASSIE] – wife of ‘Jonah Hex’ (Josh Brolin). Native American. Pretty, young, sexy.

[TRAVIS] – age 9 (to play younger)… Must be a match to Josh Brolin and Native American ‘Cassie’.

[JEB TURNBULL] – son of ‘Quentin Turnbull’ (John Malkovich). 30 – 35. Skinny, southern accent. Needs one or two days for prosthetics.

[PRESIDENT ANDREW JOHNSON] – 50-60. Look alike, if possible.

[ADVISOR] – to President Johnson. Younger, 1870′s version of a “West Wing” character.

[DEAD GUY] – late 20s/30s. Scary looking.. May need a day for prosthetics/possible make-up.

Josh Brolin plays the scarred, rough-and-tumble gunslinger bounty hunter tracking a voodoo practitioner (John Malkovich) who wants to raise an army of undead to liberate the South. Megan Fox plays Leila, a gun-wielding beauty and love interest of Hex. Will Arnett will play a Union soldier who enlists Hex and is blindsided by the dirty fighting style of his enemies. Michael Shannon will play Doc Cross Williams, the bizarre ringleader of a brutal gladiator circus event. Directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears A Who)

Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) is a scarred drifter and bounty hunter of last resort, a tough and stoic gunslinger who can track down anyone…and anything.
