Rodriguez, Pena, And Moynahan BATTLE Aliens In LOS ANGELES

It took a while but this project is finally starting to gain speed again. BATTLE: LOS ANGELES is about one Marine platoon’s encounter in the battle against an alien invasion on the streets of Los Angeles and it already has Aaron Eckhart attached to play the Marine staff sergeant, Hollywood Reporter said 3 more names have joined the cast as well. Michelle Rodriguez will play Crpl. Adriana Santos, a member of the radio battalion, Michael Pena plays the father of a boy the Marines find along the way, and Bridget Moynahan plays a veterinarian. I’m assuming her animal-healing skills would come in handy in killing those L.A. aliens SOBs, by that I did not mean immigrants in any way.
To be directed by Jonathan Liebesman (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Darkness Fall), production starts this fall. It’s been described as Black Hawk Down meets Independence Day.
For the record,.. IF.. and I mean IF Ridley Scott ever thought of remaking ALIEN movie, not doing the prequel, but remaking it.. I think Rodriguez would be the perfect new Ripley, don’t you think? That’s the toughest woman in Hollywood right now, the only thing concerns me is that Rodriguez’s characters always die in her movies.
