THE ROMANTICS revolves around eight friends from college who reunite for a wedding. Holmes plays Laura, the maid of honor to Paquin’s Lila, the bride. Laura and Lila are best friends who both have a past with the groom (Josh Duhamel). Written and directed by Galt Niederhoffer, the romantic comedy also stars Malin Akerman, Elijah Wood, Adam Brody and Jeremy Strong.
Katie Holmes replaced Liv Tyler for the role.
