Should There Be GREEN LANTERN Sequel Or GREEN LANTERN Reboot?

Hands down, one of this year’s biggest disappointments, one of this year’s biggest box office flops, one of this year’s biggest fails, was GREEN LANTERN live action movie starring Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, directed by Martin Campbell. The movie was hated by fans and critics alike and it only banked $116 Million domestically and a total of about $219 Million worldwide, which was bad considering the budget plus marketing was reportedly close to $400 Million..
Via Heat Vision, at the recent NYComic-Con’s panel, DC Entertainment’s CCO, Geoff Johns said he’s hopeful that there will be sequel..
“There is the hope that we will eventually see one.”
“obviously, you want it to be as big as Titanic.”
“I hope that the character gets another film, and it will be live-action again – I guarantee.”
“There was a lot of really good stuff in the movie,”
“With the new animated series, Green Lantern is only going to get bigger,”
Last you heard, WB still hasn’t reached a decision about GREEN LANTERN 2 despite the fact that GREEN LANTERN 2 script was already worked on by scribe Michael Goldenberg even before the movie hit theaters and Ryan Reynolds wanted to reprise his role as Hal Jordan.
