Somebody please go tell Sigourney Weaver that her character in James Cameron‘s Avatar movie, Dr. Grace already died. Because apparently Weavaer is still in denial and she told Comingsoon that she will return in AVATAR 2..
“Don’t worry, I will be back,”
“Jim [Cameron] says no one ever dies in science fiction. He’s told me the stories for the next two movies and I have to say that they’re absolutely wonderful and there’s a real treat in store. Now we just have to make them.”
Wait.. ‘no one ever dies in science fiction’?! I guess there’s some truth to that, let’s face it, in sci-fi you can bend anything from the laws of gravity to laws of nature and life and death, so resurrecting Grace is possible.. somehow.. I’m sure Cameron has thought up something.
But I thought Grace’s spirit is with Eywa now?!
Anyways, Weaver said Cameron will shoot AVATAR 2 and AVATAR 3 back-to-back sometime next year.
Of course Weaver was also asked about GHOSTBUSTERS 3 and whether or not she’d reprise her role as Dana Barrett
“I have yet to read the script,”
“I’ve had a couple of calls and I know they’re rewriting and all I said was that I hope my son, Oscar, has grown up to be a Ghostbuster and Ivan Reitman said yes. Beyond that, I have no idea. I hope it comes together, but we already did two wonderful films and, if we have to let this one go, that’s fine.”
