SKYLINE’s Directors Talk Their Next Gig, WAR OF THE AGES

The Brothers Strause (Colin and Greg) are the folks behind last year’s poorly reviewed film, Skyline. A lot of people hated that film. So I wouldn’t be expecting a sequel. They do however have their eyes set on another gig, WAR OF THE AGES, penned by Skyline‘s co-writer, Liam O’Donnell, in a recent chat with movieweb, they talked a bit of how they would describe the film..

“War of the Ages is going to be the next news item. Basically, an ancient artifact is uncovered, time is shattered and the seven greatest war leaders in history have to battle each other out. It’s sort of like The Lord of the Rings meets Gladiator. You have Napoleon vs. Julius Caesar vs. Attila the Hun vs. Genghis Khan vs. Alexander vs. Hannibal. So, there you go. It’s going to be in 3D and it’s a big sword-and-sandal epic.”

And just like Skyline, where the Strause shot a trailer first before production starts, they’re going to use the same method for WAR OF THE AGES

“We just finished up the script and we have just finished the trailer we shot for it. It’s sort of the same way we did Skyline, except this is a much, much bigger film. In Skyline, we shot a 90-second trailer to get everybody excited about the movie before we sold it. We’re kind of following in the same footsteps, but learning from the experience and pushing forward.”

  1. The problem here is… its from the same writers of SKYLINE hahahahahaha. That movie actually had potential… but the story went downhill fast. Give the concept to some good writers and that movie might have made some money.

Now… we have another interesting idea. The greatest warrior against each other? Oh wait… its been done. On tv. Spartans vs Ninjas. Viking vs Persian warrior. etc.

    Boo.
