When they’re not hosting the Oscars together, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin usually compete for who gets to host SNL the most, as they try to break each other’s record
Deadline reported that New Line will acquire a pitch for a comedy vehicle for Martin and Baldwin and director Adam Shankman
Nothing is official or confirmed yet, it’s all still in early stages, not even a screenwriter has been hired for the job, but the project is described as Trading Places meets Grumpy Old Men. I loved those movies, I sure hope the combo of those two would work.
On the screen, Baldwin and Martin previously collaborated on the rom-com It’s Complicated.
