Steven Spielberg Won’t Direct JURASSIC PARK 4. Confirms That Peter Jackson Will Direct TINTIN 2 This Year

After LINCOLN, Steven Spielberg will direct ROBOPOCALYPSE, and after that he will direct JURASSIC PARK 4? Nope, he’s not going to direct JURASSIC PARK 4 because that’s what he recently told Collider. Spielberg will only be involved in producing capacity…

“but I can tell you that I’m not directing it. I’m producing it though.”

Spielberg also said, just as initially planned, Peter Jackson will direct THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN 2 sometime later this year..

“I’m not going to say which stories have been chosen for Peter Jackson’s sequel because Peter and I agreed that we weren’t going to let that information out yet,”
“The script is now being written. It’s more than one book, but it’s not three books, so that means it’s two books. It’s two and a half books that we’re combining with ‘The Secret of the Unicorn.’ And Peter will start working on the film this year. When he’s done shooting ‘The Hobbit,’ he’ll begin his performance capture work with the actors later in 2012, which I’m very excited about. And of course, I’m hoping I’ll be able to direct the third one. I’d love to do the third one because I had so much fun on the first one.”

Why o why the hell do we need JURASSIC PARk 4? But that’s like asking why the hell did we need every damn sequel that Hollywood has produced since the dawn of cinema..
Back in October, the legendary filmmaker said that JURASSIC PARK 4 screenplay is currently being worked on by Mark Protosevich and Spielberg promised that this fourth installment has a better story than Jurassic Park III.
It better be because Jurassic Park III blew.
