UPDATE!! Both OMG and Parda Phash reported that Eva Green’s deal is officialy locked in, she will play the female lead in this testosterone fueled sequel..
Variety reported that Sullivan Stapleton (Animal Kingdom) will join the cast of 300: BATTLE OF ARTEMISIA to be directed by Noam Murro, Stapleton would replace Joel Edgerton as Themosticles, the general who led the Greeks to victory against the invading Persians in 480 BCE. Eva Green would play a ruthless gold-covered goddess who persuades Xerxed to go into battle. Further plot details are kept under wraps for now, but it’s scripted by Kurt Johnstad and Zack Snyder, who helmed 300.
