Summit Has An ALIBI

Summit just loves the the spotlight. It’s on the headline again. The studio that brought you Twilight saga just keeps on buying scripts or screen rights left and right, it’s like it’s already working 24/7 brainstorming the next franchise that it could bank money on after Twilight saga is done with. We recently heard Summit is developing INVASION along with Participant Pictures. Hollywood Reporter found out what else is up Summit’s sleeves. The adaptation of top cow graphic novel, ALIBI…
Published last year, the article says that the story is about “a well-known socialite whose public presence establishes a perfect cover for the covert activity of his secret twin brother, a government assassin” and the plot from topcow.com says this
“The perfect killer always has an airtight alibi. But can anyone be in two places at once? John Stephens can. He’s always a suspect whenever a high-profile target is taken out, but he always gets off scot-free because he’s off somewhere else, having the time of his life. How can he be responsible? The authorities may be fooled, but now someone knows his secret, and John is going to have to face the consequences.”
So.. twin brothers huh? One’s an assassin, one’s the alibi. Sounds like a job for the twin brothers Shawn and Aaron Ashmore.
Unless Ryan Gosling is available… that dude needs to take a break from drama and just be in a really cool action/thriller franchise, to have his Bourne moment.
The comic book was created by Top Cow president and COO Matt Hawkins and Michael Renegar, written by Joshua Hale Fialkov and illustrated by Jeremy Haun. The movie script will be written by the guy who pens UNDERWORLD 4, scribe John Hlavin.
