I still need to see James Gunn’s action/comedy, SUPER, perhaps I’ll check it out online this weekend. In honor of the on demand release of the new IFC dark comedy SUPER, unlikely superheroes The Crimson Bolt (Rainn Wilson) and sidekick Boltie (Ellen Page) have traveled to Austin to speak with Personal Security Expert Frank Corpus about crime during the 2011 SXSW Film Festival. See The Crimson Bolt hit the dangerous streets of Austin to take the city back! UGO has the hilarious video, which you can watch below..
When sad-sack loser Frank (Rainn Wilson) sees his ex-addict wife (Liv Tyler) willingly snatched by a seductive drug dealer (Kevin Bacon), he finds himself bereft and wholly unable to cope. But soon he decides to fight back under the guise of a DIY superhero called Crimson Bolt. With a hand-made suit, a wrench, and a crazed sidekick named Boltie (Ellen Page), the Crimson Bolt beats his way through the mean streets of crime in hopes of saving his wife. The rules were written a long time ago: You are not supposed to molest children, cut lines or key cars; if you do, prepare to face the wrath of the Crimson Bolt!
SUPER is in theaters nationwide, and is now available on demand via ‘IFC In Theaters’ on Comcast, Cox, Cablevision, Time Warner, and Bright House. It’s also on DirecTV Channel 125.
