THE DESCENDANTS Of George Clooney

A few months ago, the world learned that Alexander Payne (Sideways, About Schmidt) is going to make the adaptation THE DESCENDANT first before he tackles the social satire comedy DOWNSIZING. THE DESCENDANTS; is based on the book by author Kaui Hart Hemmings. No cast yet but Payne is polishing the script written by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, production starts in February 2010 in Hawaii…

According to Variety, George Clooney is in talks to lead star as “a wealthy landowner who takes his two daughters on a search for his wife’s lover in the hopes of keeping his family together.” Damon was right, Clooney seems to always get to play the good roles. Clooney’s got 3 movies opening in theaters this season alone. Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Men Who Stare At Goats, and Up In The Air.
