THE EAGLE Trailer And Poster
November 10, 2010Rama3 CommentsChanning Tatum, Jamie Bell, Kevin Macdonald, The Eagle

The movie that kept getting pushed back finally got itself a trailer and a poster, via Apple. Focus Features’ THE EAGLE starring Channing Tatum (as a soldier again, this time Roman soldier) and Jamie Bell.. Sure the trailer may seem epic ala Centurion or Gladiator but it’s a February movie so I wouldn’t get too excited about it..
A Roman epic adventure, based on the classic novel, Eagle of the Ninth, the film is set in the dangerous world of second-century Britain. In 140 AD, twenty years after the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion in the mountains of Scotland, young centurion Marcus Aquila (Channing Tatum) arrives from Rome to solve the mystery and restore the reputation of his father, the commander of the Ninth. Accompanied only by his British slave Esca (Jamie Bell), Marcus sets out across Hadrian’s Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia – to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father’s memory, and retrieve the lost legion’s golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth.
THE EAGLE opens February 25th, 2011.

So.. What Did You Think About TRON: LEGACY? Dec 17, 2010

Do I get a bit of an Avatar turn around feel here? You know, where the Roman soldier fights with the natives against the Roman army? Jamie Bell appears to put in another great performance. I’ll just have to reserve judgment on Channing Tatum.
the reviews will go… “everything sucks except Jamie Bell”.. LMAO
kinda like how it was for The Twilight Saga: New Moon.. “everything sucks.. except Michael Sheen”.. LOL
I wonder how this contrast will turn out … I mean, Jamie Bell, a natural talent vs. Channing Tatum, who is OK in most of his roles but has a long way to go.
