Damnit! I was actually looking forward to watching this one on the big screen, it just seemed like a thriller that could rattle our comfort zone but movieweb basically said you can still see it alright, but it ain’t gonna be in theaters because Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing THE EXPERIMENT straight to Blu-Ray and DVD on September 21st, 2010. THE EXPERIMENT is a remake of the 2001 German psychological thriller movie Das Experiment a group of ordinary men who never committed any crime, recruited to take on the roles of guards and prisoners as part of a research study that examines how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affected the participants. Adrien Brody plays the de facto leader of the prisoners, Forest Whitaker as a guard corrupted by power.
