He’s also in charge of penning Fox’s take on 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA for Timur Bekmambetov to direct. Beacham is also writing the Disney remake of the 1979 film THE BLACK HOLE, for Joseph Kosinski (TRON LEGACY). Not over yet, Beacham also wrote a script for J.J. Abrams to produce, it’s another super secret project based on Abrams’ idea. But according to Deadline, Beacham and Legendary Pictures will reteam again…

Legendary has bought PACIFIC RIM, a sci-fi film to be written by Beacham.
Here’s the logline…”Set in a future in which malevolent creatures threaten the earth, the planet must band together and use highly advanced technology to eradicate the growing menace.”
It was a high six figure deal made on the basis of a detailed 25-page treatment, PACIFIC RIM is envisioned as a tent pole event film.
Life in Beacham’s life just got six figure busier.
