There can never be enough TV series about lawyers right?! Which reminds me, I still need to catch up on the latest season of Damages. Anyways, ABC is going to develop one based on one of this year’s well-reviewed adaptations, THE LINCOLN LAWYER..
Variety said the network has ordered a script from Lionsgate, which would convert THE LINCOLN LAWYER into a drama series
Based on the book by novelist Michael Connelly who, along with screenwriter John Romano, will work on the pilot script.
In the movie, Matthew McConaughey played the lead, Michael “Mickey” Haller, a criminal defense attorney who does his business from the back of his Town Car. The movie took in a decent $58 Million domestically
No word yet on who would play Mickey in the series version.
And don’t forget, NBC is also developing a series based on THE FIRM, which was based on John Grisham’s book, which was adapted into a pretty damn good thriller in the ’90s, starring Tom Cruise.
