Real quick now, for those of you anticipating the next RIDDICK movie, which started with Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick. Vin Diesel has updated his facebook page, indicating the possible filming location which would be where Frodo and Sam walked the middle earth…
The Riddick team is in New Zealand location scouting already… that’s exciting.
Director David Twohy (A Perfect Getaway) previously said that he’s sketched out two ideas for the next RIDDICK Movie and eventhough the studio wants it PG-13, Vin Diesel and Twohy want it to be R like Pitch Black instead of how it was for The Chronicles of Riddick which was the mistake Twohy admitted they shouldn’t have made. Diesel also spoke back in August, calling 2 possible working titles for RIDDICK 3 and 4, THE UNDERVERSE And THE FURYAN
The first movie, Pitch Black, rated R, was released back in 2000 had the production cost of $23 Million but earned about $39 Million domestically
and the second movie, The Chronicles of Riddick , rated PG-13, back in 2004 had the production cost of $105 Million and only earned about $57 Million domestically
