According to Box Office Mojo, THE NIGHT CHRONICLES: DEVIL which is the first installment of the film series based on stories by M. Night Shyamalan, is now titled DEVIL. Shocktilyoudrop said because of the embarrassing work on The Last Airbender, Universal decided to remove the title from its association to Shyamalan. Yikes. I remember when the name M. Night Shyamalan used to mean something, it used to mean that something suspenseful, unexpected and supernatural this way come but now it seems to have lost its value. By the way, Slashfilm has the art logo above of DEVIL. Directed by John Erick and Drew Dowdle starring Chris Messina as Bowden, a sobered-up homicide detective. A group of people, including a formerly alcoholic homicide detective (Messina), are trapped in an elevator and they discover that one of them is the devil. It was initially set to open on February 11th, 2011 but Shyamalan said it will now open on September 17th, 2010. The sequel is called TWELVE STRANGERS and Buried scribe Chris Sparling is in charge of writing the script about a jury deliberating a case involving the supernatural.
