THE ROAD Trailer Does Justice

Yeah! It’s finally here! The trailer for what possibly my most anticipated movie adaptation of the year, THE ROAD, via Yahoo. It was torturing a bit to read a review by Esquire Magazine recently, the thought that they got to see it first and called it ‘the most important movie of the year’, nobody else is going to use that tagline from here on out.
But no worries, the wait is over, and if you’ve read the book like I did, then you can probably agree with me in that the look and feel of the trailer give justice. But it emphasizes more on it being a thriller, maybe they’ll come up with another trailer eventually that would emphasize the heart, the sadness, and the amazing courage that the story has.

Viggo Mortensen, Robert Duvall, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce and Kodi Smit McPhee star in the big-screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s best-selling, Pulitzer Prize-winning novel – the story of a man (Mortensen) and his young son (Smit-McPhee) traveling through a desperate, post-apocalyptic world.

THE ROAD opens October 16th, 2009
