THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE Director, David Slade, Will Direct NBC’s HANNIBAL PilotI’m looking forward to NBC’s series version of Hannibal Lecter, I guess part of wishes it would work just so I can have another show championed besides just The Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones, while they still haven’t cast an actor worthy to play the most iconic cannibal, they did hire a solide director for the pilot episode and according to Deadline, that job belongs to David Slade who brought you Hard Candy, 30 Days Of Night, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse… This one-hour drama is written by Bryan Fuller and it will center on Lecter’s early days and his mindgames with FBI agent Will Graham, played by Hugh Dancy. The following is the logline..
“One-hour contemporary thriller series featuring the classic characters from Thomas Harris’ novel Red Dragon – FBI agent Will Graham and his mentor Dr. Hannibal Lecter – who are re-introduced at the beginning of their budding relationship.”So sorry, Clarice, but you’re not feature on this new show. This one’s focusing on Graham who captured Lecter. The sequel movie, Hannibal in 2001 bored me to death, didn’t compare to The Silence Of The Lambs, but I did actually enjoy 2002′s Red Dragon that had Anthony Hopkins returning as Lecter, of course, and Edward Norton as Will Graham, despite the fact that the film was directed by Brett Ratner. The million dollar questions remains.. who do you think should play the iconic Hannibal Lecter? And will he eat your liver with fava beans?
