Variety said Thomas Haden Church (Easy A) has joined the cast of KILLER JOE, directed by legendary filmmaker William Friedkin (The Exorcist, The French Connection), starring Matthew McConaughey and Emile Hirsch
Production starts early next month in and around New Orleans. Scripted by Tracy Letts based on his own play, the story is about ”a brother (Hirsch) and sister combo who plot the death of their mother for the insurance money and hire “Killer Joe” Cooper, a cop and contract killer (McConaughey) to do the deed.”
Church’s role is not yet revealed.
