Tom Hardy’s AL CAPONE Movie Would Be A Trilogy?

One of Tom Hardy‘s next roles is to play the infamous gangster AL CAPONE. I think it’s going to be tough trying to top the Capone portrayals by Robert De Niro (The Untouchables) and Stephen Graham (TV’s Boardwalk Empire) but if there’s one man who can do it, it’s Hardy.
TotalFilms chatted with Hardy who shared his preparation so far and revealed that there are talks of this film becoming a potential trilogy or a franchise..

”I’ve been working with Warner Bros, watching their gangster films — the ones with James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart and Edward G. Robinson.
“It’s interesting to get them, and a bit of Capone, into the bloodstream… The idea isn’t to remake those films but to get a flavour of them as we explore Capone’s career as a racketeer.
“The idea at the moment is of doing a trilogy of films, but nothing is set. Everyone is just talking and exploring.”

You’re going to see Hardy as Bane (hopefully the muffled voice gets cleaned up) this summer in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES and he’s going to tackle AL CAPONE after he’s done filming MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, now that is one movie that I’m very much looking forward to watching.
