Trailer For FALLING SKIES, A TNT Series Exec-Produced By Steven Spielberg

I usually don’t cover TV info since Rama’s SCREEN is a movie blog but since the following project is exec-produced by Steven Spielberg and the pilot was written by Robert Rodat (Saving Private Ryan), based on an idea he co-conceived with Spielberg, so I figured why the hell not. FALLING SKIES, from DreamWorks Television, will premiere on TNT in June 2011 and it stars Noah Wyle. You still remember good ol ER Wyle, right?! It’s an alien invasion drama/thriller series co-starring Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation, Faster) Check out the trailer after this jump. Between you and me, nothing about this weak trailer makes me want to see the series, but then again, I used to watch 4400 religiously so I really don’t have an excuse..
Noah Wyle as a former college professor who becomes the leader of a group of soldiers and civilians struggling against an occupying alien force. Moon Bloodgood co-stars as Anne Glass, a therapist who works with the surviving children to help them cope with the traumatic situation. The series also stars Drew Roy as Hal and Maxim Knight as Matt, Tom’s two sons; and Seychelle Gabriel as Lourdes, an orphaned teenager who helps run the group’s commissary. Will Patton plays a fierce leader of the resistance. The pilot was directed by Carl Franklin.
