Viola Davis Signs On To ENDER’S GAME And BEAUTIFUL CREATURES

Oscar nominee Viola Davis is a machine, not only has she signed on to Summit Entertainment’s adaptation of ENDER’S GAME, Variety said she’s also signed on to Alcon’s adaptation of BEAUTIFUL CREATURES..

ENDER’S GAME

The trade says that Harrison Ford, Abigail Breslin, Aramis Knight, Moises Arias, Jimmy “Jax” Pinchak, Suraj Parthasarathy, Conor Carroll and Khylin Rhambo have signed on to co-star in ENDER’S GAME, co-financed by Summit Entertainment, directed by Gavin Hood, starring Asa Butterfield in the lead.
Hailee Steinfeld plays Petra Akanian, the only girl in Salamander Army who befriends Ender and becomes his trusted ally.
Ben Kingsley will play a legendary war hero presumed to be long dead.
Brendan Meyer will play Stilson who taunted Ender during ground school.
Harrison Ford plays Colonel Hyram Graff, who trains the young male recruits at an elite military academy.
Abigail Breslin plays Valentine Wiggin, Ender’s older sister
Aramis Knight plays Bean, the smallest new recruit
Moises Arias plays Bonzo, the commander of Salamander Army
Jimmy “Jax” Pinchak plays Peter Wiggin, Ender’s brilliant but tortured older brother
Suraj Parthasarathy plays Alai, the first recruit to befriend Ender.
Conor Carroll plays Bernard, the leader of the new recruits who bullies Ender
Khylin Rhambo will play Dink, a brainy member of Rat Army.
Viola Davis plays a military psychologist who oversees the emotional welfare of young trainees and helps design the games that test their skills and resilience.

Summit Entertainment will release ENDER’S GAME on March 15th, 2013. Based on the sci-fi books by Orson Scott Card

Directed by Richard LaGravenese, based on the book by Margaret Stohl-Kami Garcia, about two teens confronting a curse that has haunted the girl’s family for generations.
The sequel books in the trilogy are BEAUTIFUL DARKNESS and BEAUTIFUL CHAOS.
Production on BEAUTIFUL CREATURES starts in April in New Orleans
