And just like that! A&E has unleashed these two teaser trailers for their upcoming series BATES MOTEL which is currently in production chronicles the life of young Norman Bates (character featured in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho) and his relationship with his mother and brother..
Freddie Highmore (Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, August Rush, Finding Neverland) stars as young Norman Bates. The role was iconically played by Anthony Perkins in the 1960 Hitchcock classic.
It’s the upcoming new series BATES MOTEL which will be on A&E’s and it serves as a prequel to Alfred Hitchcock’s iconic film, Psycho, but this series will focus on Norman’s formative years.
Vera Farmiga will play the mother, Norma Louise Bates, described as complicated, passionate, compelling, smart, and multidimensional, full of surprises.
Peltz plays one of the 4 high school girls in the same class as Norman’s
The series will be a prequel to the 1960 classic Alfred Hitchcock film and it’s exec-produced by Carlton Cuse (TV’s Lost)
“Bates Motel” gives viewers an intimate understanding of how Norman Bates’ psyche developed from his childhood through his teen years. Fans will have access to the dark, twisted backstory and learn first hand how his mother, Norma, and her love damaged Norman, helped forge the most well-known serial killing motel owner in history.
