Earlier this year it was reported that 6 Hollywood studios (Lionsgate Entertainment, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox, Universal Pictures and Warner Bros. Entertainment), cable companies like Comcast, technology companies such as Microsoft, big-ticket retailer Best Buy and online rental giant Netflix are all endorsing the UltraViolet, a digital media service format created by the Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem (DECE). The format will allow consumers to watch digital entertainment through multiple platforms including TVs, PCs, game consoles and smartphones. According to Variety, WB will release GREEN LANTERN and HORRIBLE BOSSES as their first titles offered through UltraViolet service. So this fall, you have the option of buying the digital copy, storing them in digital rights locker and you can watch your movies on your TV and the rest on your iPad and the rest on your smartphones and so on and so forth until you get sick and tired
