What The?! Martin Sheen Will Return As Ben Parker In THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

It’s not even a spoiler, even those who haven’t seen the movies would have heard by now that Ben Parker is dead in the origin story of Peter Parker/Spidey but what if Ben Parker came back in the sequel? As a walker/undead perhaps.. I’m kiddin’ of course but Martin Sheen who played Ben Parker in this past summer’s 3D reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man is not kiddin’ at all.
Sheen was on The Late Late Show and he revealed that he’s going to reprise his role for the sequel.

“Well they called me back, I don’t know what the part’s going to be but I’m going to be Uncle Ben once again in Spider-Man next year. We shoot in February.”

We’ll see if he’s in flashback scenes or whatever the plot would have him be.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will reprise their roles, Shailene Woodley will play Mary Jane, although for a smaller role leading up to a more significant role in the third installment. Dane DeHaan plays Harry Osborne, Jamie Foxx plays Electro.
Directed once again by Marc Webb, from a script by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinker, based on the draft by James Vanderbilt.

The sequel will begin production in early 2013.
