WHILE James Franco And Ben Stiller ARE YOUNG, They’re Going To Work With Noah Baumbach

According to Vulture, Ben Stiller is reteaming with his Greenberg director Noah Baumbach and James Franco (possible Oscar contender for 127 Hours) is joining the party..

The project is called WHILE WE’RE YOUNG which will be produced by Baumbach’s go-to producer/collaborator, Scott Rudin (Greenberg, Margot At The Wedding).
So.. Stiller and Franco are attached to star and word has it they’ve offered the female lead roles to Cate Blanchett and Greta Gerwig who worked with Stiller in Greenberg.

Plot details are kept under wrap but the website said “it’s about a free-spirited Brooklynite twenty-something couple (Franco — and, possibly, Gerwig) who inspires an uptight documentarian (Stiller) and his wife (possibly Blanchett, pending the resolution of some scheduling issues) to loosen up — with comedic consequences.”
The bittersweet part of all this is that the role offered to Blanchett was originally meant for Baumbach’s spouse, Jennifer Jason Leigh to play…but Leigh filed for divorce recently and so.. ya.. awkward..
Well, let’s hope Blanchett accepts the job.
